My name is Ethan Finkel, and I worked in the venture capital software space for 5 years prior to joining the founding team of an early stage startup. I've worked directly with the world's leading VC firms, CFOs, and operations teams to build the software they use to run their businesses. I've seen all the tools and talked to thousands of venture capitalists and operations teams to understand what they need and what software they need.

I write about venture capital operations, data strategy, and the tools that help VCs make better investment decisions. For example, I've written about how data strategy in venture capital compares to public markets and why even basic data collection can give VCs a significant advantage.

I focus on software that is used by VC firms, CFOs, and operations teams to run their businesses. Private market tools for investors more broadly may be considered at a later date.
